Having trouble with your drafts?
Liz can help!
Liz has edited over 45 books for literary presses. She has also edited manuscripts for writers seeking to improve their work before submitting it to publishers.
Sometimes all you may need is in-depth feedback on a selection of your poems, a single story or chapter, that will allow you to deepen your understanding of the entire manuscript.
Or you may want a manuscript evaluation, which will give you an overview of what needs improving, with a few substantive examples to illustrate elements of the critique. For this, Liz charges a minimum of $500 for poetry; $700 for prose. (Allowances may be made for that condition known as "writer's penury.") Prices are negotiable, and always clearly established before work begins.
Another option may be to work with Liz on a mentorship basis: a more open-ended structure of feedback and revision over a period of time, during which you and Liz work towards a finished manuscript in "semesters" of two to six months.
She also gives readings, and leads workshops in poetry and fiction for writers at all levels.
